Located in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas, the Proper Hotel is an iconic design-centric hotel, brought to life by the talents of world-renowned designer Kelly Wearstler. Throughout every corner of the hotel, including each uniquely designed room, guests are delighted by an experience of layered, textural and print-forward spaces that feel contemporary and classic all at once. Local Austinites, and travelers alike, delight in visiting the Proper Hotel where the food, cocktails and ambiance are unmatched. Maggie and John wanted to treat their guests from the moment they stepped into the hotel – a core reason they selected the Austin Proper as the backdrop for their wedding reception, and the core inspiration for this design.
