Hi! I’m Valerie, but everyone calls me Val! You can think of me as your wedding obsessed friend who loves making couples’ dreams come true so much, I left the corporate world and turned this business into my full time career!
My intro into the wedding industry happened when my sister got engaged and enlisted my help to address her wedding invitations. One $75 intro to calligraphy class later, I was hooked, and LBV Design House (formerly known as Lettered by Valerie) was born.
With 5 years of experience in the wedding industry, a 10+ year career in Marketing Operations, and a Masters in Management, I hold a unique portfolio of skills that marries design and function into a process that makes you feel confident and at ease throughout your planning journey. As a business owner, and creative, my why is to ensure that you and your guests experience a seamless wedding day, and are over the moon with the final details displayed. I view our relationship as a collaborative partnership to guarantee that happens, so you can soak in every moment of your wedded celebration.
When I’m not pouring my heart into this business (or sharing behind the scenes content on our social channels), you can find me spending time with my husband and our beloved pup, Sparty, traveling the globe and finding the best Austin spots to order a cucumber margarita from.

Meet Michael! Our "Chief Problem Solving Officer" and Signage Producer, resident dog dad and husband to Val. A lover of all hobbies that require a solutions-oriented mindset, Michael has made his mark on this business through his engineering of signage concepts and displays, and his day-of set-up mastery. You can find him on your wedding day setting up those larger than life pieces and capturing behind-the-scenes content.

Meet Anita! Associate planner alongside Valerie for all of our full-service planning and design clients, and (as she lovingly refers to herself) “the assistant to the regional manager”. An educator and assistant principal by origin, Anita’s heart for people and efficient work style makes for the perfect wedding planning side-kick. You can find her on your wedding day perfecting every detail with a fine tooth comb.
